Mr. Mohamed Awadalla
Chief Executive Officer

Mr Awadalla is an international hotelier with over three decades of experience. He has worked with leading global hospitality companies including Mövenpick, Hilton and Rotana.

 

After completing his studies, Mr Awadalla began his career with the Swiss hotel group, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. Whilst at Hilton International, he ran the travel trade division with responsibility for 12 properties, moving on to become Rooms Division Manager and then Director of Business Development. His reputation for operational excellence saw him recruited by Rotana Hotels Management Corporation where he went on to head up various properties as General Manager.

 

In 2007, Mr Awadalla joined the hospitality division of a regional investment company as Area Vice President, and in 2012 co-founded TIME Hotels where he took up the position of CEO. Today, with overall responsibility for the company’s Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Apartments, Express Hotels, Residences and Motels, Mr Awadalla's remit is to spearhead future development and drive the commercial success of TIME Hotels’ rapidly expanding portfolio across the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Mr. Richard McGrath
Chief Financial Officer

Following his graduation in 1987, Mr. McGrath traveled to Boston to continue his studies as part of the Association for International Training Program and joined Marriott as a front line employee. In 1989 Mr. McGrath relocated to London and completed his professional certificate from HCIMA at Oxford Brooks University, also attaining a Diploma from the British Association of Hotel Accountants. Over the ensuing 18 years, Mr. McGrath progressed with Marriot, spending time in Poland, Hungary and the UK, eventually becoming the Area Director of Finance of Marriott in the UK & Ireland.

 

Currently Mr. McGrath works with the Owners of TIME Hotel Management to assist in developing the brand, with a focus on laying the ground work in the finance discipline to ensure that the business is ready for rapid expansion over the next five to ten years.

Mr. Eddie Ignatius
Corporate Director of Quality & Business Excellence

Mr. Ignatius began his career with Rosewood Hotel & Resorts in 1998, joining Hilton Hotels and Resorts in 2002. After four years with Hilton, Mr. Ignatius was invited to join the pre-opening team of the landmark Emirates Palace Hotel Abu Dhabi - Kempinski Hotel, then joining Rotana Hotels in 2007. He later joined TIME Hotels, developing and implementing the Front Office Operations system used in all TIME Hotels. Mr Ignatius's contributions to the Human Resources Department earned him the role of managing the Learning & Development Department and also oversees the Quality Assurance, HACCP implementations and sustainability projects for TIME Hotels.

Mr. Bernard Fantoli
Corporate Director of Food & Beverage

Mr. Fantoli carries a wealth of global hospitality experience, developed over 25 years serving in various executive food & beverage positions with Hilton, Marriott and the IHG hotel group. Educated primarily in Brussels and Paris, with continued training in Hong Kong, Miami and Aruba, Mr. Fantoli maintains memberships in Les Toques Blanches International, an exclusive association of executive chefs chosen from their peers, and the elite Académie Culinaire de France, the oldest association of chefs in the world.

Mr. Gaetan Lavoie
Corporate Director of Technical Services

Mr. Lavoie began his career with the Novotel Hotels in Canada in 1991 and, over the next nine years oversaw the opening and renovation of properties across North America. In 2002, he took responsibility for the new property Renaissance Hotel in Montreal, overseeing the property’s eventual sale four years later. In 2007, Mr Lavoie joined the SNC Lavalin as Facility Manager, overseeing 97 locations, and in 2014 he joined TIME Hotels as Corporate Director of Technical Services.

Mr. Ahmed Al Mulla
Corporate Director of Security & Government Protocol

A UAE National, Mr Al Mulla, who was born and raised in Umm Al Quwain, has been with TIME Hotels since 2012. With over 20 years in the security industry, Mr Al Mulla gained a wealth of international experience working for the Dubai Airport and different Government facilities. As the Groups’ Corporate Director of Security, Mr. Al Mulla is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall company process for security strategy. Mr Al Mulla builds and maintains key relationships with the Government and private sectors to ensure TIME remains aligned with State standards as it expands internationally. Mr Al Mulla is a key player in supporting TIME’s vision, operations and the protection of its stakeholders, assets and interests.

Mr. Joseph Fayad
Corporate Director of Information Technology

An IT expert specializing in hospitality for over 15 years, Mr. Fayad has worked with a number of reputable hospitality operators, handling computing and communications technology functions, introducing and performing IT standard reviews, establishing multi-property systems and data centers, and insuring that IT operations are performing at their highest levels of efficiency and security.

 

Mr. Fayad recently completed a 12-month re-structuring project at the American University of Technology in Lebanon across three branches, established a vision and action plan for a preventive and proactive IT; in addition, he designed the data center infrastructure using cloud computing and introduced a new Learning Management System.

 

Prior to this, Mr. Fayad was the Managing Partner of Computer Communication Services in Lebanon; there, he consulted on a number of hospitality and real estate client projects in Lebanon, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. Senior roles have given Mr. Fayad a well-rounded experience covering all aspects of the operation, from the planning and implementation of new systems and system migration to IT solution provision and involvement in the technological application of corporate marketing strategies.

Mr. Muhammed Shan
Corporate Director of Materials

A seasoned hotelier with nearly a decade of experience in the global luxury hospitality industry, Mr. Shan provides strategic guidance in the company's purchasing department, driving innovation. A commerce graduate of Kerala University, Mr. Shan has risen progressively, taking on more senior roles; his current focus is on the materials & purchasing division of the TIME Group. As a leader who favors practical approach philosophy and quality-driven processes to achieve excellence, he is a valued contributor to TIME Hotels’ acquisitions and new projects development, coordinating successful hotel openings and delivering consistency to our global operating departments.

Mr. Amarsingh Purmessur
Corporate Director of Housekeeping

With over 32 years’ experience in the field of housekeeping and laundry operation, Mr. Purmessur joins TIME Hotels Management L.L.C as Corporate Director of Housekeeping.

 

Hailing from Mauritius, Mr. Purmessur has worked across the Middle East and Africa for a host of global hospitality companies, including InterContinental Hotels Group, Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotels Group in the positions of Executive Housekeeper, Cluster Executive Housekeeper and Director of Housekeeping.

 

Mr. Purmessur will take on the responsibility for the planning, organisation, training and development of TIME Hotels’ housekeeping department and its divisional workforce, whilst ensuring all members of staff comply with brand standards, policies and procedures while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Mr. Emad Farid
Vice President of Operations - Egypt

With over 37 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Farid has worked with some of the leading global hospitality companies including Marriott International, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Hilton International, Pyramisa Group and now at TIME Hotels Management L.L.C.

 

In his role as Vice President of Operations, Mr Farid will work to maximise TIME Hotels’ growth and profitability, while overseeing all day-to-day operations in Egypt. He will be responsible for formulating policies and strategic planning as well as analysing market conditions and implementing successful sales strategies.

 

A graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Mr Farid boasts extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having established numerous successful sales and marketing strategies and implemented business development and expansion plans for a series of international hospitality brands across Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
